I am a Musician, Composer, Studio Owner, Recording Engineer and when need arises an Electrical Design Engineer.
I am very pleased to be releasing my third solo CD "Arcadia" (see the Music page for clips). This CD is all about solo acoustic fingerstyle playing. Done 100% with Hybrid picking (means played using a flatpick and two fingers on the right hand :-)) it features fourteen instrumental pieces spanning a number of styles from dreamy to ragtime. ARCADIA makes a perfect backdrop for a scenic drive a small gathering or just plain relaxing. As an experiment ARCADIA will only be available at shows or through Bandcamp.
Bandcamp is a new service that is great for the artist and fan! For the artist we get 100% control of the music and the prices. For the fan you get a place where when you can listen to tunes as many times as you want and then if you want..... buy a tune (or whole CD) and choose the quality to download. Just to make it even a little more interesting I have put all the 24bit masters on Bandcamp. This means that if you can download the tunes in even better than CD quality. OK... enough tweakhead info! Take a listen and try it out. Be sure to let me know how it goes......... My other two solo CD's are also on Bandcamp as is a new music blog of my next CD "A Simple Mind".
On the live music front I have been playing in the The Band C3 (formerly called the Steve Ball Roadshow) since April of '06. We do a wide range of Original material plus a diverse group of covers from YES, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and even Johnny Cash. Look for a C3 CD in the next couple of months!
